Extreme Makeover - Home Edition
I mentioned sometime in July that Mrs Premster and I were putting together a dedicated playzone for The Devster. The playzone, imported from America, is up and running and our "ster" junior spends a good part of the day in it, playing with his toys, having lunch, a little TV entertainment and catching up on some leisure reading. Actually, he's into tearing the pages for now.
Anyway, I thought I'd post a picture of Dev's playzone. Here it is....
And here's our resident structural engineer checking to see if it is safe for occupation. (oops... no pants!)
As you can probably see, a large chunk of our living room is "gone". Thankfully, our ever-efficient domestic helper takes the playzone apart at the end of the day so that I get to stretch my legs out in front of the tele when I get home after a hard day's work.
This is how our place looked like just before we moved in.

I really like it...its very sufficient for both the parents and the kid....meaning you keep ur place tidy cuz all the toys are in the play zone :)

both my wife and i thought it would be a good buy for the the devster. so even though it cost a bomb to ship it to singapore, we thought it would be well worth it. and it is!

and all I can say is WOW :)
its a BIGGG difference and great sense of style
and ur so right for getting the play zone for devster...ur place is too precious to be ruined by lil hands prints and toys everywhere ;)
thanks again for your very kind thoughts about our home.
we used a designer to get the place done but a large part of the design input came from my wife. she put a lot of thought into the design as well as functionality.
and yes, the playzone is great for the devster and daddy. devster can play and get stuff messy in there while it keeps little hands off daddy's sound system!!

in all honesty, i contributed very little. essentially, i pretty much decided on the sound systems, the placement of our plasma screen and speakers - to obtain what we audiophiles call "the sweet spot". ;)
but thank you for your compliment. it does mean a lot to us. and i'm glad the pictures will help your aunts and their kids. but it's only a matter of time before the devster will learn to climb out of it. :(
